Shilajit Powder: Shilajit is a rasayana (rejuvenative) herb and an adaptogen. Shilajit contains at least 85 minerals in Ionic form, as well as humic and fulvic acid. Shilajit is a Sanskrit word meaning "conqueror of mountains and destroyer of weakness." It is composed of humus and organic plant material that has been compressed by layers of rock and mixed with microbial metabolites. This humus and organic plant matter then oozes from the rocks of the Himalayas as they become warm in the summer months. It is bitter in taste.
Recommended Dosage for Shilajit: 0.25 - 1tsp three times a day. High dose: 1-2 oz a day, in water or raw milk.
Amla Extract: Amla Berries are also known as Indian gooseberries found on small tree's that grow throughout India. The Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica, syn. Emblica officinalis) is a deciduous tree of the Euphorbiaceae family.Amla contains the highest amount of Vitamin C in natural form. Amla is referred to in historic texts as an herb that "promotes longevity and induces nourishment" Amla has been a very important herb in Ayurveda for more than 3,000 years.
Recommended dosage for Amla: 250-500 mg two times a day after a meal.
Ashwagandha Extract: Ashwagandha, also known as Indian ginseng, is considered one of the most important adaptogens in Ayurveda. It's properties include helping to alleviate bodily pains, anti-inflammatory, helps calm the nervous system, increases muscular endurance and stamina, improves concentration, powerful aphrodisiac, immune booster, and revitalizes body/decreases ease of fatigue.
Recommended Dosage for Ashwagandha: between 600 to 1000 mg, twice daily. may benefit by adding a teaspoon of Ashwagandha to a cup of hot water or juice before bed time.
Bacopa Monreri: Bacopa monieri is a well known nootropic plant reported for its tranquilizing, sedative, cognitive enhancing, hepatoprotective and antioxidant action. This plant has a number of uses in Ayurveda. It has antioxidant properties, reducing oxidation of fats in the bloodstream.
Recommended Dosage for Bacopa: 225 mg two to three times a day.
Holy Basil Holy Basil is also known as Tulsi. Tulsi has been used for thousands of years in Ayurveda for its diverse healing properties. It is mentioned by Charaka in the Charaka Samhita, an ancient Ayurvedic text. Tulsi, which is Sanskrit for "the incomparable one". Tulsi is considered to be an adaptogen, balancing different processes in the body, and helpful for adapting to stress. Marked by its strong aroma and astringent taste, it is regarded in Ayurveda as a kind of "elixir of life" and believed to promote longevity.
Traditionally, tulsi is taken in many forms: as herbal tea, dried powder, fresh leaf, or mixed with ghee.
Recommended Dosage for Holy Basil: 300 to 600 mg daily.
Mucuna Pruriens: Mucuna also known as the velvet bean. Mucuna has been shown to improve sleep, increase energy levels, enhance libido, improve skin texture and appearance, increase bone density, and strengthen the immune system.
Recommended Dosage for Mucuna: 15 grams mixed with freshly squeezed juice.
Tribulus Terrestris Saponins: Also known as the Puncture vine. Tribulus is an herb that has been used in traditional medicine throughout China and India for centuries. Tribulus is used as a diuretic, cooling agent, aphrodisiac, and helps lower cholesterol. It has been helpful in lessening infertility, erectile dysfunction, and low libido.
Recommended Dosage for Tribulus: between 85 to 250 mg three times a day with meals.
Turmeric: Our Turmeric has a 95% curcumin value. Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant of the ginger family, Zingiberaceae. Turmeric has anti-imflammatory and antioxidant qualities, boosts your immune system, and can help lower cholesterol.
Recommended Dosage for Turmeric: 250 to 500 mg three times a day.
Valerian Extract: Valerian (Valeriana officinalis, Valerianaceae) is a supplement often used to help people suffering from insomnia. It is used to ease anxiety and relax tense muscles. Valerian has also been used to ease digestion and help lessen stomach cramps. Store Valerian in a cool, dry place.
Recommended Dosage for Valerian: between 2 and 10 g per day; if you are using Valerian as a sleep aid, try not to use it for more than 2 consecutive weeks at a time- allow the body to get used to being more relaxed and stress-free, then ease the dosage until you do not need to use it anymore.
